The Sun City Anthem Ballroom Dance Club (SCABDC) helps its members learn, practice and perform various dance steps. Classes are given for student at all levels from beginners to experienced, and in dance styles that include standard ballroom, international ballroom, freestyle ballroom, and even Argentine Tango. The club’s goal is for its members to participate in dances while making new friendships with fellow residents who enjoy the simple pleasure of dancing in a congenial atmosphere of social interaction.
Members will enjoy Ballroom Dancing with plenty of opportunity for practices, lessons, workshops, ballroom line dancing, monthly every second Sunday and every fourth Wednesday Social dancing parties, and twice-yearly formal or semi-formal dinner dances to celebrate Mother's Day and Christmas Holidays.
We play wonderful Ballroom Music at all practice hours, Sunday and Wednesday Dance parties and the Dinner Dances. These include all of Ballroom International Standard and Latin dances, and American Smooth and Rhythm dances: Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quicksteps, Viennese Waltz, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Bolero, Samba, East Coast and West Coast Swing, Jive, Rock-N-Rolls, Hustle, Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, Bachata, Argentine Tango, Nightclub Two-Steps, and on request Paso Doble. Come out dancing!
